Favorite Movies of 2013
With 2013 coming to a close, I share with you my top ten movies of the year.
1. "Now You See Me"
What's It About: An FBI agent reluctantly teams up with an Interpol agent to solve the mystery of a group of magicians that rob a bank during their performance and reward their audience with the stolen cash.
2. "Before Midnight"
Who's In It: Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy, Xenia Kalogeropoulou, Ariane Labed, Athina Rachel Tsangari, Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick
What It's About: A third installment of the "Before" series, Before Midnight finds Jesse and Celine, a French-American couple now living in Paris with their twin daughters. After a summer vacation in Greece, Jesse must send his son back to the states which makes him question his life and relationship with Celine.
3. "Don Jon"
What's It About: It's directed by JG-L, what more could you want?? Also, it's about a New Jersey guy who struggles to find happiness with his girlfriend after developing unrealistic expectations from watching internet porn.
4. "Gravity"
What's It About: A thriller about a woman who drifts alone in space and how she survives on her own.
5. "Her"
What's It About: A lonely writer develops a relationship with the female voice of his computer's operating system.
6. "American Hustle"
What's It About: A con man and his wife are caught by an FBI agent who offers them a deal if they help him take down other con artists.
7. "The Spectacular Now"
What's It About: A high school senior changes his party-hard philosophy on life when he meets a "nice girl".
8. "The Big Wedding"
What's It About: A divorced couple pretends to be happily married when their adopted son's Catholic mother attends his wedding.
9. "Stoker"
What It's About: After the death of India's father, her uncle comes to live with her and her unstable mother. She becomes infatuated with him when she suspects him of having ulterior motives.
10. "Warm Bodies"
What's It About: After a zombie saves a still-living girl from an attack, they develop a relationship that changes the world as they know it.
